Doctor Strange

This has been a challenging drawing to tackle due to the complexity. I had to do a dozen sketches and even then I was not completely satisfied with the final sketch lol. I usually work with 2-3 different "layers" to compose an illustration, but this one required roughly 3-5 and there was tons of erasing and redrawing of lines, and even then I felt like I was figuring out the illustration along the way, never sure of how it would turn out haha... Quite happy with the final version though there's still room for improvement :) Let's talk about coloring it later lol

Edit: Finally managed to complete colours on this! Very happy with the results as I feel I've improved on my colouring (though I still badly need to speed up lol).

Hooked on a Feelin' (Guardians of the Galaxy)

My little tribute to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy which opened recently. Was really pumped with this one as I felt I had elevated my pencils and colouring as close as it could get to Marvel standard (I hope hahahaha) :p

The Original Team (Pokemon)

I had a spontaneous burst to draw the original team from Pokemon lol. Not a cartoon from my generation, but clearly it's one that has affected the lives of many 80s/90s kids' childhoods heh. Did a more edgy spin to the style :)

Reposting a "remastered" (lol) version of Jon Snow with Ygritte. Did a little too well on her so the quality differs slightly heh heh...

Sports Legends portraits

 I got a job to draw B/W portraits of sports legends as decoration for a store. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to expand on and develop my previous ventures with portraiture. I love B/W stark graphic linework in particular so it was great to push myself to greater heights of details and get paid for it :) Coming soon to a store (which I cannot mention yet) near you! 

Gaming is Serious Business!

Just something quick from my new sketch book - I've been putting off for a few months now. I owe my mates in Final Fantasy 14 (an online multi-player game) a portrait of our characters heh.

Godzilla!

Done for the TNP GOdzilla contest. Really pushed the limits on the details for this one heh, but I'm not new to drawing scaly skin heh... just never did it on such a large scale! I may consider colouring it later.

 

Hellboy (Anung Un Rama)

A piece I did for the Multiversity Comics online “20 Years of Hellboy” Art Contest. Helluva (no pun intended) lot of work but extremely gratifying! Felt myself improving! :)

Oh and I am a huuuge Mike Mignola fan. He is truly legendary, I hope to meet him someday!
